Morocco Ranks 2nd Globally for Mining Policy Attractiveness, Fraser Institute Reports

Morocco is one of the 10 most attractive jurisdictions in terms of mining policies, according to the latest ranking by the Fraser Institute. Recognition of all the efforts the Kingdom is making in the sector.
The Fraser Institute consulted leaders of major mining and exploration companies as part of this ranking. Morocco is ranked second with a score of 98.06 out of 84 provinces, states and countries analyzed. "With the Republic of Ireland and Morocco, the 10 best-ranked jurisdictions are Northern Ireland, Western Australia, Quebec, Nevada, Utah, Saskatchewan, Finland and Alberta," the report notes.
According to the authors of this survey, "geological and economic considerations are essential factors in mining exploration, the political climate of a region is also an important investment consideration."
The world’s most attractive jurisdiction for investment is Western Australia, followed by Saskatchewan in Canada, and Nevada. "The United States has the most jurisdictions (4) in this year’s top 10, followed by Canada (3), Australia (2) and Africa (1), namely Morocco," it is specified.
