Morocco Ranks 24th Safest Country Globally for COVID-19 Management, Study Finds

Morocco is one of the countries that have best managed the Covid-19 pandemic, ranking 24th as the safest country in the world. This is the result of a report by the Global Finance magazine.
The security index is based on the risks of natural disasters, crime, terrorism and war, four criteria to which, in addition to the management of Covid-19 as an evaluation parameter, given the devastating impact of the virus on the whole world. To this, the document adds epidemiological indices such as the number of deaths per inhabitant and the progress of vaccination. All these criteria whose evaluation allowed the kingdom to obtain a score of 8.05, confirming it as one of the countries that have been able to effectively manage the ordeal of Covid-19, with a certain control of mortality and a stable and regular vaccination.
The Moroccan is ranked 24th among the countries that have best managed the vaccination campaign, far ahead of major countries like China, the United States, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and many other European Union countries. The report explains the poor positioning of these countries by the fact that they have become the epicenter of the pandemic worldwide, at one point, although they are developed.
To recall, nearly 40% of the target population is vaccinated in Morocco, or 10.34 million people. And, despite the delays in the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccines ordered, the vaccination campaign is progressing at a relatively stable pace there. The authorities are counting on a vaccination rate of 80% to achieve collective immunity. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Morocco has recorded 9,360 deaths.
