Morocco Processes 8,000 Covid Vaccine Exemption Requests, 2,500 Approved

One month after the launch of the service for issuing the certificate of exemption from vaccination against Covid-19, only 8,000 people have filed their application. Some 2,500 applicants have already obtained their health pass.
This document is granted to people who have contraindications to vaccination, recalls the SRNT, which inquired about the evolution of its issuance in Morocco.
In an interview with the channel, Professor Said Afif, member of the Technical and Scientific Vaccination Committee, indicated that about 4.5 million Moroccans have not yet been vaccinated.
In this batch, 8,000 people have filed requests to be exempted from vaccination, with 2,500 files already processed. "A figure that remains low compared to the number of the population to be vaccinated," he specified.
Furthermore, the specialist reported that the kingdom recorded 83% of deaths during the last wave that concerned unvaccinated or primo-vaccinated people, and 17% of deaths that concerned people whose vaccination in two doses had exceeded 5 months and who were suffering from chronic diseases, including diabetes.
