Morocco’s Private Schools to Hike Tuition Fees, Sparking Parent Concerns

Bad news for some parents in Morocco. Private schools are planning to further increase their tuition fees for the next school year.
Tuition fees for private middle and high schools in Morocco will increase by 200 to 300 dirhams for the next school year, reports Assabah, specifying that the heads of the establishments concerned have already informed the parents of this new increase.
The situation is not unprecedented. Every school year, private middle and high schools proceed with tuition fee increases, much to the dismay of parents who have not failed to criticize these increases that they consider illegal and to denounce the inaction of the supervisory ministry in the face of this situation.
Parent associations call on the department led by Chakib Benmoussa to take responsibility and to order these private educational institutions that increase tuition fees each year.
