Morocco’s Prince Moulay Rachid Attends Emperor Naruhito’s Enthronement in Japan

Moulay Rachid was at the enthronement of the new Emperor of Japan, Naruhito, on Tuesday, October 22. At the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, the Prince came to represent King Mohammed VI.
The solemn ceremony of enthronement of the new Emperor of Japan, in which Prince Moulay Rachid took part, lasted only thirty minutes, according to Medias24.
A ceremony during which the new 59-year-old sovereign, according to the site, was dressed in a traditional court costume from the Heian era (8th - 12th century). This ceremony validated his accession to the Chrysanthemum Throne in front of more than 2,500 guests from 190 countries, including foreign dignitaries and members of royalty.
King Mohammed VI had already sent a message of congratulations to Emperor Naruhito of Japan, upon the announcement of his accession to the throne. A message in which the Sovereign had expressed his warm congratulations, and his wishes of prosperity for Japan that he is now called upon to lead.
