Morocco Preps Logistics in Yamoussoukro Ahead of Crucial AFCON Match

A technical commission from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is reportedly preparing to make a trip to Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire to make all the practical arrangements regarding the stay, travel and training sessions of the Atlas Lions in case of victory over South Africa this Tuesday in the round of 16 of the Africa Cup.
The FRMF has instructed the commission to book a classified hotel for the Atlas Lions, identify a field for their training sessions, and study all the details related to their travel to the city of Yamoussoukro, in the prospect of a victory over South Africa this Tuesday, and therefore, a qualification for the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The objective is to create favorable conditions for the Moroccan team, as is currently the case in San Pedro, to allow it to go as far as possible in the competition. It will be up to the Federation to judge the opportunity to move the Moroccan players to Yamoussoukro in case of qualification, or to keep them in San Pedro, given that the distance between the two Ivorian cities does not exceed 363 kilometers.
Walid Regragui’s men face the Bafana Bafana this Tuesday, starting at 9pm (Moroccan time), on the pitch of the Laurent Pokou stadium in San Pedro. In case of victory, the Atlas Lions will face Cape Verde, winner over Mauritania, in the quarter-finals.
