Morocco Prepares Nationwide COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Strategy

Morocco is already thinking about the strategies to be adopted so that the vaccine against the coronavirus reaches a large number of people. The Minister of Health, Khalid Aït Taleb, chaired on Thursday, October 8, a working session attended by the regional directors of the ministry.
The meeting, attended by the regional directors of the ministry, made it possible to discuss ways to ensure the success of the vaccination process in all regions of Morocco. According to the ministry, all vaccines against the coronavirus are still undergoing clinical trials worldwide. The meeting is an anticipation pending the completion in Morocco of the clinical trials in which 600 members of various institutions in the kingdom, who have volunteered, are participating.
These are members of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), the Royal Gendarmerie, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) and the General Directorate of Studies and Documentation (DGED).
Morocco and the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm CNBG have concluded two cooperation agreements on clinical trials of the anti-covid-19 vaccine. At the end of these clinical trials, Morocco will be able to have its own vaccine as soon as possible.
