Morocco Prepares for 13-Hour Daily Fasts as Ramadan Approaches

Ramadan begins in Morocco in a few days, establishing a period of religious fervor and modifying the rhythm of life of Moroccans.
The duration of this fast is a recurring question, as it varies depending on the geographical location within the country.
This year, Moroccans fast from the call to dawn prayer (6:28 a.m.) until the call to Maghrib prayer (7:28 p.m.). This represents a period of abstinence of about 13 hours.
It is important to note that this duration of 13 hours is an average. It is subject to slight daily variations due to changes in sunrise and sunset times throughout the month.
Note that Morocco changes its time zone each year during the fasting month and only for this period. The next change is scheduled for February 23.
