Morocco Prepares for Annual Summer Influx of Expatriates

From June 15 to September 15, 2019, the largest movement of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) to their country of origin will take place, which has led to special precautions being taken by the Moroccan authorities for its success.
A well-planned schedule of maritime traffic for a smooth crossing, the operation of specific equipment such as larger parking spaces, as well as equipped areas with sanitary facilities, not to forget that passengers will be able to benefit from the interchangeability of tickets, allowing to avoid disastrous waiting times, at the time when traffic will reach its highest point.
An overview of the practical arrangements planned by the Moroccan leaders, at various levels, for the success of the "Marhaba" 2019 operation, which will see more than two million Moroccans from around the world return to the country, starting with those living in Europe, from the second half of the current month.
In addition, information on the dates during which travelers should not schedule their trips, particularly Sundays and the last five days of July, as well as the last week of August and the first few days of September, is widely disseminated by the port operators sector.
