Morocco Prepares to Airlift 10 Million COVID-19 Vaccine Doses from China

The first country to vaccinate its citizens, Morocco could receive its first batches of vaccines as early as next month, in two or three weeks.
The Kingdom is preparing to send 10 flights to China, at a rate of two flights per week, to retrieve the first necessary quantities for the vaccination campaign, reports Hespress. In other words, it is 10 million doses, or 1 million doses per flight.
These vaccines will first be used to vaccinate health personnel, public authorities, security forces and national education staff, as well as the elderly and people vulnerable to the virus. The remaining dose can be used for the rest of the population.
In detail, only 5 million people will be vaccinated in a first phase, depending on the availability of doses on the national territory. As part of this vaccination campaign, the government has signed two partnership agreements with the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm (CNBG) for the clinical trials of the Covid-19 vaccine. The first clinical trials have proven successful.
