Morocco’s Police Chief Demands Faster Response to Citizen Complaints

In a note sent to all its services last Monday, the Director General of National Security (DGSN) calls for "immediate and positive treatment" of complaints filed by Moroccans, whether at the level of police stations or services providing on-call duty.
Abdellatif Hammouchi demands more seriousness and rigor from his men in the exercise of their duties. In his new directives, he has invited the police officers to "show a sense of responsibility when welcoming users, and to immediately respond to all their needs".
He asks them to be aware that "any citizen who addresses the police, surely has an urgent grievance that requires urgent police intervention and a legal procedure that must be immediately initiated and followed up".
This service note from the DGSN/DGST director aims to improve the quality of services provided to users, who often complain about the slowness that characterizes the processing of their files.
