Morocco Plans Repatriation of Citizens Stranded Abroad Amid Emergency Measures

In order to organize their repatriation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has requested an estimate of the number of Moroccans stranded in Europe and Asia, due to the declaration of the state of emergency by the Moroccan government.
To this end, the various consular representations of the kingdom have begun the operation of counting the thousands of Moroccan nationals and verifying the administrative documents.
Personal information forms have been handed out to Moroccan citizens in the various countries, inviting them to communicate their dates of entry and exit from Morocco, their passport numbers and national identity card numbers.
In the meantime, crisis cells have been set up by the embassies and consulates of the kingdom in order to allow compatriots to benefit from accommodation, food and medicines.
Aware of the difficult situation of Moroccan citizens abroad, the Moroccan authorities have ordered since March 15 to give priority to urgent cases, particularly people in critical condition.
