Morocco Plans New 10,000-Seat Stadium Near Rabat for 2030 World Cup

A brand new stadium will soon be built, not far from the city of Rabat. This will be as part of the World Cup that Morocco will co-host in 2030 with Spain and Portugal.
The project to build a new stadium in Tamesna, near Rabat, is taking shape. The contract for the architectural design and supervision of the work has just been awarded to the "Atelier d’architecture Hajji et El Ouali" and "Ayone Studio" grouping by the SDL Rabat Région Aménagement, reports Médias24.
The total cost of construction is estimated at 143.2 million dirhams. With a capacity of 10,000 seats, the stadium will cover an area of 9 hectares.
Located 7 kilometers from Rabat, in the prefecture of Skhirat-Témara, this new stadium is intended to serve as a training ground for the international teams participating in the 2030 World Cup, if Morocco is selected to host the event, specifies the same source.
