Morocco Partners with Israel on COVID-19 Vaccine Production

Relations between Morocco and Israel are further strengthening. The kingdom has associated the Hebrew state with its Covid-19 vaccine manufacturing projects.
Solicited, Israel is supporting Morocco in its vaccine manufacturing projects. A request that follows the signing of agreements between the kingdom, the Chinese Sinopharm and the Swedish laboratory Recipharm, manufacturer of the Moderna vaccine. According to well-informed sources, the Israelis are already working on the construction of gigantic premises within the prestigious Pasteur Institute in Casablanca, reports Maghreb Intelligence. These premises will be used to centralize all the vaccines produced in Morocco before their distribution, whether in Morocco or abroad.
The vaccines that will be produced by public or private institutions (including foreign investors) will be submitted to the services of the Pasteur Institute for approval, distribution and traceability. "They have solid experience in this area and this will be one of the great illustrations of the cooperation in the works between Morocco and Israel," the same sources affirm.
With the support of its international partners and the Moroccan company Sothema, Morocco will produce 5 million Covid-19 vaccines per month, before gradually increasing the pace.
