Morocco Partners with Chinese Travel Giant to Boost Tourism

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and C Trip, China’s leading online travel agency, signed a three-year co-marketing partnership on Friday, September 6. Its objective is to strengthen the flow of Chinese tourists to Morocco.
Welcoming 500,000 tourists per year, or even more. This is the gain that Morocco could derive from the co-marketing partnership that now links the Moroccan National Tourist Office (OMNT) to C Trip, China’s leading online travel agency.
This partnership signed between Adel El Fakir, Director General of the ONMT, and Liang Jianzhang, President of C Trip, will also allow the entities to pool their resources in order to increase the media visibility of Morocco in China, in particular through digital advertising campaigns.
In the eyes of the Director General of the ONMT, this partnership represents an exceptional opportunity that will open up extraordinary development prospects for the Chinese market. Adel El Fakir firmly believes that the Chinese outbound market is undoubtedly the future of Moroccan tourism.
Founded in 1999, C Trip is China’s largest online travel agency and one of the largest in the world. It has been listed on the Nasdaq since 2003.
