Morocco Overtakes Spain as Top Tomato Exporter to EU, Shifting European Produce Market

Moroccan tomatoes have surpassed Spanish ones in the EU in 2022, with a volume of 740 million kilos exported, mainly to France, compared to just over 600 million for Spain.
"The trend that emerges clearly is that Morocco has already overtaken us in terms of volume exported to the European Union," confirmed Andrés Góngora, head of Agriculture at the agricultural organization COAG
