Morocco Outpaces European Nations in COVID-19 Vaccination Rollout, Think Tank Reports

The success of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign in Morocco is hailed by "The Middle East Institute", an American think tank specializing in the Middle East. For the organization, Morocco "vaccinates 50% faster than Germany and most major European countries".
According to Williams Lawrence, a former American diplomat and professor of political science and international affairs at the School of International Service at the University of Washington, Morocco, with its 7 million doses of the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines already received, "vaccinates 50% faster than Germany and most major European countries, thanks to a very effective SMS registration system".
For the expert, Morocco is a privileged partner of the United States and cooperation between the two countries must be revitalized in this period of health crisis. This is why he recommends "strengthening the security and viability of [Morocco], the second oldest ally of the United States, by helping to respond to the pandemic and recovery, institutional reform, socio-economic resilience and global human security".
William Lawrence, also a former director of North Africa programs at the Crisis Group, also advocates for strengthened cooperation between Washington and Rabat in the fight against extremism and illegal immigration and significant support for the kingdom in its "exemplary efforts in religious education and the fight against terrorism in Africa".
