Morocco Opposition Demands Clarity on Ramadan COVID Restrictions

The Moroccan opposition denounces the silence maintained by the government on the national re-confinement or not during the month of Ramadan, demanding in this regard, more fluid communication with public opinion on the management of the pandemic.
The daily Al Massae echoes the voices of the Moroccan opposition who are rising up to ask the government to communicate on the measures it intends to take during the holy month of Ramadan in terms of pandemic management.
The political bureau of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS) is indeed asking the government to try as much as possible to reconcile the requirements of the health situation and the socio-economic ones of the population, reports the daily.
The PPS believes that this communication approach that favors explanation, reports the tabloid, will guarantee the adherence of the population to these very restrictive measures, also requiring the adoption of a more fluid communication approach with public opinion in the management of the pandemic.
It should be noted that the announcement of a third wave and the detection of cases of the British variant of Covid-19 in Dakhla leave the specter of a national re-confinement hanging. The daily Al Massae reports in this regard that this call comes after the worrying evolution of the pandemic, especially after the announcement of the establishment of a total confinement in the Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region after the detection of 40 cases of contamination by the British variant.
After the increase in the number of people admitted to intensive care, the Minister of Health, Saâd-Eddine El Othmani, calls for compliance with preventive measures which remain the most effective way to fight this pandemic pending the generalization of vaccination.
