Morocco’s ONEE Denies Planned Power Outage in Casablanca, Confirms Routine Maintenance

The National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) formally denies the rumors of a power outage in Casablanca on October 20, 2019.
As part of the continuous improvement of the quality of service to its customers, the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) had scheduled, for October 20, 2019, work to replace a 225 kV structure pylon.
They are part of the preventive maintenance of the 400/225/60 kV transmission network facilities, ONEE said in a statement.
The scheduled work will take place "without restriction and without interruption of the supply to any source substation providing electricity supply to the city of Casablanca and surrounding areas," the Office specifies.
Furthermore, ONEE reassures its subscribers that the appropriate arrangements have been made so that the work does not disrupt the electricity supply in the city of Casablanca or the quality of service.
