Morocco Offers At-Home COVID-19 Testing: Prices and Procedures Explained

Medical biology analysis laboratories and SOS Médecins home services in Casablanca now perform coronavirus screening tests at home. The costs vary depending on the number of people to be tested.
These structures mostly have a platform on which customers can book an appointment, says Challenge. Others provide the service by phone. Customers are asked to provide accurate information about their identity, email and phone number as well as their location. Once the appointment is booked, a nurse is sent to the customer’s home to take the sample.
Regarding the results, they are known within 24 hours of the sample being taken. "If the sample is taken before noon, we will provide the results by 6 pm at the latest. On the other hand, if the operation took place during the afternoon, we will provide the results only the next day," reassure some laboratories.
As for the prices, they range between 1,000 DH and 1,050 DH. They could see a reduction depending on the number of people to be tested. "For a family of 3 people, it costs 950 DH per member or 900 DH if it’s a minimum of 10 people," it is added.
In addition, these tests are available for 700 DH in private medical biology analysis laboratories.
