Morocco Offers 20,000 COVID-19 Vaccines to Sahrawis in Tindouf Camps, Awaits Algeria’s Approval

As part of the national vaccination campaign, the Kingdom of Morocco is said to have offered to vaccinate 10,000 Sahrawis detained in the Tindouf camps. A humanitarian initiative awaiting the approval of the Algerian authorities.
The UN mission in Western Sahara, relayed by Algeriatimes, states in a press release that Morocco is making 20,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine available to the residents of Tindouf. The shipment of the batches will be ensured by the members of Minurso.
By reaching out to its neighbor, and by rising above the chill blowing between Rabat and Algiers, the kingdom is showing goodwill for the second time in a row, notes the Algerian media. "Morocco, under the aegis of its king Mohammed VI, had donated 800 tons of food."
In these times of pandemic, where the planet is facing an unprecedented health crisis, solidarity between the two countries must be strongly manifested, adds the same source, in order to relieve their populations from the ravages caused by Covid-19.
