Morocco Offers $15,000 Bonus to Players for CHAN 2020 Qualification
The President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation had promised an attractive bonus to each player on the national home team, in the event of victory over their Algerian counterparts.
Faouzi Lekjaâ had taken advantage of the last training session to announce the good news to all the players, in the presence of the technical staff. The aim was to motivate them before the decisive match against the Algerian team.
Thus, a bonus of $15,000 was awarded to the nationals, as a reward for qualifying for the final phase of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will take place in Cameroon in 2020.
The match, which took place on Saturday, October 19, ended with a clear score of 3-0 in favor of the home players. Houcine Ammouta’s men managed to seal the deal, sweeping the Fennecs in a quarter of an hour of play.
