Morocco Dominates Algeria 3-0, Secures Spot in CHAN 2020 Championship

The local players defeated the Algerian Fennecs by a heavy score of 3-0. With this victory, the Atlas Lions have obtained their ticket to defend their title as champion at the 2020 African Nations Championship of football (CHAN) in Cameroon.
Against the very tenacious and better organized Atlas Lions during the 90 minutes of play, the Fennecs of Algeria quickly bowed.
In the 27th minute, on a penalty, by Badr Benoun, in the 32nd by Hamid Abaddad and in the 41st with Mohammed Nahiri, the protégés of Hacine Hamouta made the Algerian goalkeeper’s nets tremble three times, revealing to their supporters an impeccable quality of play.
The Atlas Lions brilliantly defended their advantage in the second half of the game, thus bringing a smile back to the face of the coach of the A national team, Vahid Halilhodzic.
With this qualification ticket in their pocket, the local players will defend their champion title next year at the African Nations Championship of football (CHAN) in Cameroon.
They will also be able to benefit from the 200,000 dirhams qualification bonus provided by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) for each of them.
