Morocco’s OCP Group Reports Resilient Q2 Sales Despite Pandemic Challenges

The health crisis due to the coronavirus has not affected the performance of the OCP group. In the second quarter, it posted a turnover of more than 15 billion DH.
According to the Q2 2020 results, a slight growth was observed this year, unlike the same period last year (15.061 billion dirhams). For OCP’s top management, this performance is due to the increase in sales volumes, despite the current pandemic context and less favorable market conditions compared to the second quarter of the previous year.
In the first quarter of 2020, a turnover of 27.403 billion dirhams was recorded by the group, compared to 27.589 billion dirhams in the same period last year. As for capital expenditure for industrial development, it amounted to 2.962 billion dirhams in the second quarter of 2020 compared to 3.604 billion dirhams in the same period last year.
According to the same source, these expenses amounted to 5.087 billion dirhams in H1-2020 compared to 5.856 billion dirhams in the first half of 2019. As for the detailed half-yearly results and the financial statements as of June 2020, they will be published by the OCP group in September 2020, it is specified.
