Morocco’s Noor Midelt Solar Project Secures €50 Million for Grid Connection

A loan of 50 million euros has just been granted by the German Development Bank (KfW) to the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen) to finance the connection of the Noor Midelt solar complex to the high-voltage national grid.
This loan, which will also be used for vocational training, was announced by the German bank in a press release, which also mentions a grant of around 2.7 million euros.
In addition to the sustainable development of Morocco, the Noor Midelt solar complex will, according to the German bank, make a significant contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions estimated at at least 700,000 t CO2 per year and increase employment opportunities on major construction sites.
