Morocco Among Next Countries to Receive Covax Covid-19 Vaccines

After Ghana, it is the turn of Morocco, other African countries and several Arab countries to receive, in the next few days, the anti-Covid vaccines from the Covax facility. This announcement was made by Rosie Dyasl, spokesperson for the British government in the Middle East and North Africa.
On her Twitter account, the diplomat posted an image of the vaccine shipments by air freight. She specified that Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen and Syria and other countries are the beneficiaries.
On Wednesday, Ghana received the world’s first delivery of vaccines financed by the Covax facility, which aims to provide low-income countries with their first doses of Covid-19 vaccines. These doses, shipped by UNICEF from Mumbai, "are part of the first wave of Covid vaccines destined for several low- and middle-income countries," the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF said in a joint statement.
"This delivery represents the beginning of what should be the largest vaccine supply and distribution operation in history," the same source continued, adding that "the Covax facility plans to provide nearly two billion doses of Covid vaccines this year. This is an unprecedented global effort to ensure vaccine access for all citizens."
