Morocco Nears 1,000 COVID-19 Cases as Death Toll Rises to 69

Morocco is about to exceed the 1000 mark of patients tested positive for covid-19, this Sunday after the announcement of 107 new positive cases.
The balance sheet of cases tested positive for coronavirus in Morocco now stands at 990 cases, this Sunday, April 5 at 6 p.m. To date, 11 deaths and 6 recoveries have been recorded, bringing the official toll respectively to 69 deaths and 71 recoveries since the start of the epidemic in Morocco.
As for the 990 positive cases, they were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (279), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (177), Marrakech-Safi (182), Fès-Meknes (132), Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (75), the Oriental (54), Daraa-tafilalet, (41), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (26), Souss-Massa (19), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1), specifies the website dedicated to covid-19.
The Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab region remains unaffected by any contamination.
The director of epidemiology, Mohammed El Youbi, does not fail to call on Moroccans to scrupulously respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures.
