Morocco’s National Team Named Africa’s Best in 2023 CAF Awards
The Moroccan national football team was crowned the best team in Africa for the year 2023 at the annual awards ceremony of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in Marrakech.
The "Atlas Lions" won this award, beating the teams of Gambia and Senegal, following their run at the last World Cup in Qatar where they reached the semi-finals.
It was the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, who received the award during the celebration organized in the ochre city.

• Walid Regragui was elected Coach of the Year
• Yassine Bounou: Goalkeeper of the Year.
• Nesryne El Chad: Best Young Player of the Year
• Fatima Tagnaout: Best Interclub Player.
