Morocco’s National Police to Recruit High-Level Professionals Through Competitive Exams

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has been authorized to recruit high-level executives through competitive exams to strengthen its workforce. This option is made possible by the new changes that occurred in the status of DGSN personnel on May 23, during the Council of Government.
This decision, which should delight Abdellatif Hammouchi, the head of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), is dated July 26 and published in the Official Bulletin of September 12.
From now on, the national police will be able to recruit state engineers, architects, biologists, doctors, pharmacists, veterinarians, as well as doctors in physics-chemistry, reports Le360.
The DGSN, which is free to resort to these recruitments as the need arises, within the limit of the availability of budgetary positions, will be able to exempt the new recruits from sports tests (running the 1,500 meters for example) and integrate them with the rank of Chief Commissioner.
In addition, the national police will also be able to proceed with the integration of inter-ministerial executives (seconded to other departments or public services) while preserving their benefits with their original employer.
It should be noted that four other decisions relating to the new modalities of the recruitment competitions for peace officers, inspectors, police and peace officers as well as commissioners, have been recorded by Abdellatif Hammouchi.
These are the categories for which online pre-registration on a dedicated portal will now be mandatory before filing the application with the DGSN services at the regional and local levels, notes the same source.
