Morocco MP Banned from Travel Over Suspected Tainted Dairy Products

The “Or Blanc” dairy case has taken a judicial turn. On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, the investigating judge at the Casablanca Court of Appeal decided to place Abderrahim Bendou, a parliamentarian from the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and head of Prolainat Maroc, under judicial supervision. Although he was allowed to remain free, the elected official had his passport withdrawn and was barred from leaving the kingdom.

The decision follows a lengthy investigation conducted by the National Judicial Police Brigade (BNPJ). The charges against the businessman, as well as two veterinarians and a company executive, are serious. Authorities suspect the production and distribution of food products that do not comply with the standards of the National Office of Food Safety (ONSSA).

The investigation file notably refers to the alleged use of unauthorized chemical or biological substances intended to artificially extend the products’ expiration dates, as well as the sale of spoiled goods.

Abderrahim Bendou, elected representative for the Nouaceur constituency and regional coordinator of the PAM for Casablanca-Settat, is an influential figure within the political party. He had already made headlines in 2024 during a commercial dispute that led to major changes within the party’s collegial leadership.
