Morocco Lifts Visa Requirements for Burkina Faso Citizens Amid Pandemic Travel Rules

The Agreement on the Abolition of Visa for Holders of Ordinary Passports (valid) signed between Morocco and Burkina Faso on October 23, 2020 has entered into force. In a press release, the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Burkinabe citizens are now exempt from the entry visa formality to the Kingdom.
Burkinabe nationals wishing to travel to Morocco can do so without prior administrative procedure. But this facility does not exempt Burkina Faso citizens from certain provisions put in place by the Moroccan government due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Thus, in view of the state of health emergency in force in Morocco, a negative PCR test for the new coronavirus and carried out in the last 72 hours remains necessary to access Moroccan territory.
