Morocco Lawmakers Press Government on Mosque Reopening Plans Amid Phased Lockdown Exit

The mosques remain closed while the deconfinement plan is in its second phase. It is therefore to have an idea of the management of such a situation that the parliamentarians have questioned the government.
The question is now asked by the parliamentary team of the Party of Justice and Development (PJD). It especially wants to know "the measures that will be taken for the reopening of the mosques in the kingdom".
Thus, in a letter addressed to the President of the House of Representatives, the parliamentarians ask that "the health measures prepared by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in coordination with the health authorities be unveiled and discussed" during the next plenary session scheduled for Monday, July 6, reports H24info.
In their note, the parliamentarians recalled the improvement of the epidemiological situation in the country, a necessary condition for the reopening of the mosques. For them, "the decision of the Ministry of Endowments to keep the mosques closed as long as the epidemiological situation is not under control", no longer has its reason to be, specifies the same source.
