Morocco Launches Special Maritime Repatriation with COVID-19 Precautions

The Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water has made public, in a press release, the procedures related to the health measures to be respected as part of the special maritime passenger transport operation.
In a press release, the ministry indicates that these procedures, which are part of the implementation of the special sea repatriation operation started since July 15, are related to health measures against Covid-19.
Three ships have been selected by the department and made available to the competent services of the Ministry of Health for their equipment with Covid-19 screening laboratories. They will operate the maritime lines connecting the port of Genoa to the port of Tanger Med and the port of Sète to the ports of Tanger Med and Nador.
The equipment of a fourth ship is underway by the services of the Ministry of Health to reinforce this fleet, which will also receive two other ships, adds the press release.
For any information, people wishing to travel on these ships are asked to contact the shipping companies in charge of the operation, and if necessary, call the toll-free number 4646 made available to them by the ministry’s services.
The press release also insists on the respect, by passengers and personnel of the maritime companies concerned, of the health measures against Covid-19.
