Morocco Launches Probe into Mass Killing of 1,500 Turtledoves Near Marrakech

After the general outcry caused by the carnage of nearly 1,500 turtledoves in the Marrakech region by men from the Gulf, the Water and Forests Administration has opened an investigation.
Elucidate the circumstances of the massacre of the turtledoves. This is the whole purpose of the investigation opened by the Water and Forests Administration on what can be called the massacre of nearly 1,500 turtledoves in the Marrakech region.
To this end, a Committee composed of the High Commission for Water and Forests, local authorities and customs is taking up the case. Its mission is to shed light on this affair and to identify the responsibilities of the various actors, especially at the level of the Agency which is the organizer of the hunting party, as well as the control agents on site.
At the end of the investigation, the stakeholders will submit a report to the Water and Forests Administration in Rabat, which will be responsible for examining it. Moreover, the perpetrators of the massacre will be sanctioned and fined. This action is part of the fight against poaching and the illegal export of protected species in Morocco, it is indicated.
