Morocco Launches 24/7 Online Tax Payment System Ahead of May 31 Deadline

The General Treasury of the Kingdom (TGR) has set up online payment of local taxes (housing tax, municipal services tax and professional tax). This online service allows taxpayers, holders of bank cards, to pay their taxes by connecting to a secure site.
The payment of these taxes, the deadline of which is set for next Monday, can be made 24 hours a day, announces a press release.
"On the eve of May 31, 2021, the deadline for paying the housing tax and the municipal services tax, the General Treasury of the Kingdom reminds all taxpayers that it is possible to pay 24 hours a day," the TGR said in a statement.
This payment can thus be made on the TGR website (www.tgr.gov.ma), through ATMs, e-banking sites, mobile banking applications and bank transfers, the same source specifies.
The objective sought is to avoid the congestion of the tax office counters in accordance with the health measures in place, concludes the press release.
