Morocco Launches Digital Platform to Streamline Government Services

The delegated ministry in charge of the Digital Transition intends to develop a platform called "the user’s digital account" to improve the quality of administrative services to users.

The department has just launched a study to determine the modalities for putting this platform into service, "in accordance with Articles 23 and 24 of Law 55.19 relating to the facilitation of administrative procedures and formalities, which encourage administrations to adopt interoperability for obtaining the documents necessary for the processing of requests for administrative decisions."

Concretely, this platform will allow users to access their digital data, store it and share it with the beneficiary administrations, relays Al Ahdath Al Maghribia, adding that users will also be able to consult the dates as well as the administrations that will have accessed this data. Users will also be able to modify their data in case of error.

"The Ministry of Digital Transition and Public Administration Reform is working on the establishment of a framework to measure the digital maturity of the public administration. The planned system will focus on three essential aspects: the digital capacity of administrations, the digital transformation of services, and the digital impact of these," it is specified in a report.

The project is part of a dynamic of accelerating the digital transformation of the public administration initiated three decades ago, and aims to facilitate access to public services for citizens.
