Morocco Launches Dedicated COVID-19 Hotline for Suspected Cases

With a view to strengthening its communication on COVID-19, the Moroccan Ministry of Health has launched "ALLÔ SAMU 141" reserved for suspected cases.
Providing emergency medical assistance and significantly reducing the pressure on the Yakada call center. This is the objective sought by the Ministry of Health by launching "ALLÔ SAMU 141".
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, "ALLÔ SAMU 141" will be exclusively reserved for people suspected of being affected by the Coronavirus for advice and recommendations. The "Allô Yakada" service, on the other hand, will be dedicated to information, advice and recommendations on COVID-19 for the population in order to report a suspected case to the health personnel, for proper care.
Eight regions of Morocco are currently covered by the "ALLÔ SAMU 141" service. Meanwhile, the "ALLÔ Yakada" service (08 01 00 47 47) is still operational through the national public health emergency operations center for citizens in other regions such as Drâa-Tafilalet, Béni Mellal-Khénifra, Guelmim-Oued, Dakhla-Oued Noun, Dakhla-Oued and Ed-Dahab.
Thanks to an automatic call distributor, waiting times will be reduced for both services, the statement said. Health teams are available to provide information to citizens and direct suspected cases to specialized centers in the different regions of the country. The service is available 24 hours a day.
