Morocco Launches 100-Hectare Argan Tree Planting Project in Souss-Massa Region

King Mohammed VI launched the project to plant 100 hectares of argan trees. This was on Thursday, February 13, in Chtouka Ait Baha, in the Souss-Massa region.
This project is part of the agricultural argan tree planting program on an area of 1,250 hectares. It concerns 7 communes and is intended for 729 people, for an investment of 28 million dirhams.
It is part of a global program (2017-2022), which mobilizes a budget of 490 million DH, financed by the Green Climate Fund (390 MDH) and the Moroccan Government (100 MDH), and will benefit the provinces of Essaouira (2,885 ha), Taroudant (1,337 ha), Sidi Ifni (627), Chtouka Ait Baha (1,250), Guelmim (623 ha), Tiznit (3,188 ha), as well as the prefecture of Agadir Ida Outtanane (90 ha).
