Morocco to Launch Training Program for Legal Cannabis Cultivation

In Morocco, training sessions will be organized for cannabis growers to develop this sector. A step forward after the adoption of law no. 13.21 on the legal use of cannabis for medical and industrial purposes.
There will no longer be cannabis growers trained on the job. They will be trained on plant cultivation techniques, its processing and packaging, but also on the constitution and management of cooperatives, reports Assabah. The goal is to have a skilled workforce capable of obtaining a good quality product and better yield. There is also a question of creating cooperatives with a minimum of 15 farmers.
These cooperatives will be able to carry out commercial transactions with pharmaceutical laboratories and the dedicated National Agency. They will therefore be the sole interlocutor of the companies and the Agency. The farmers will also have the possibility to open bank accounts and obtain credits for the modernization of their production tools. Already, several hundred people have registered on the register opened to follow these training sessions that will be launched in the coming months.
