Morocco to Launch National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign on January 18

Barring last-minute changes, the national anti-Covid vaccination campaign should start on Monday, January 18th throughout the Moroccan territory.
As planned, the first people concerned by the vaccination are health personnel, law enforcement, the elderly, teachers... etc. It will then be extended to the rest of the population. They will first receive the dose of the British vaccine AstraZeneca, produced by the Serum Insitute laboratory based in India.
According to Hespress, the first batch of the AtraZeneca vaccine is expected in Morocco this Saturday, January 16th, two days before the launch of the vaccination campaign in the vaccination centers nationwide.
In detail, the members of the medical corps will receive their doses on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Faculty of Medicine in Casablanca, particularly at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital. It will then be extended to all the faculties of medicine in the Kingdom.
A few hours before the launch of this campaign, a circular was sent by the National Order of Physicians to the presidents of the regional councils regarding the doctors who have not yet provided the data requested more than a month ago for the establishment of the lists.
