Morocco’s Land Agency Collects 5.73 Billion Dirhams in 2020 Despite Pandemic

In 2020, despite the impacts of the health crisis, the National Agency for Land Conservation, Cadastre and Cartography (ANCFCC) achieved great feats. Thus, at the end of the year, this sector collected 5.73 billion dirhams in the kingdom’s accounts.
At the end of 2020, several indicators of the Agency were in the green, proving that despite the impacts of the health crisis linked to the pandemic on the real estate sector, the ANCFCC managed to achieve an acceptable level of achievement in terms of land registration, informs Aujourd’hui Le Maroc, specifying that the Agency has just held its board of directors under the chairmanship of Aziz Akhannouch, Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests.
This performance, writes the newspaper, was recorded thanks to the implementation of a system allowing the relaunch of production, the mobilization of staff and the acceleration of the digitization of business processes. We must add the execution of new developments including a 12% increase for the establishment of land titles covering an area of 1,050,000 ha and an 18% increase for the processing of land registration requests and the achievement of 5.73 billion dirhams as revenue.
In addition, land registration in rural areas, which has become a strategic priority for the ANCFCC, has made it possible to reach 173,059 land titles in rural areas, or 32% of all land titles produced in 2020. In addition, the ANCFCC "has made decisive advances in digitization, including the electronic filing of notarial files, the digital processing of topographic files, the electronic payment of land conservation fees, the electronic property certificate and the secure online consultation of databases by authorized professionals," concluded the daily.
