Morocco’s King Pardons 931 Prisoners for Eid Al Mawlid Celebration

On the occasion of Eid Al Mawlid Annabaoui, King Mohammed VI has granted pardon to 931 people. They are in detention or being prosecuted at liberty.
In a press release, the Ministry of Justice stressed that Mohammed VI was pleased to grant pardon to a group of people sentenced by various courts in Morocco. They number 931. These include 677 detainees, 273 of whom have benefited from a prison or criminal sentence. There is also the remission of the prison or criminal sentence in favor of 400 detainees, the commutation of the life sentence to a fixed-term sentence in favor of 04 detainees.
As for the beneficiaries of the Royal Pardon who are at liberty, they number 254 people prosecuted for various actions and required to pay fines.
