Morocco’s King Pardons 371 Inmates in Revolution Commemoration

King Mohammed VI has pardoned 371 inmates convicted by various Moroccan courts as part of the Commemoration of the Revolution of the King and the People.
According to the Ministry of Justice, there are 12 inmates pardoned on the remainder of the prison or imprisonment sentence, 247 inmates who benefit from a remission of the prison or imprisonment sentence and 4 inmates, benefiting from the commutation of the life sentence to a fixed-term sentence.
As for the inmates benefiting from the royal pardon and who are at liberty, they number 108 people and are also divided into different categories.
38 inmates were pardoned on the prison sentence or its remainder against 9 who benefit from the pardon on the prison sentence with maintenance of the fine. In addition, 60 inmates are pardoned on the fine sentence and one person on the prison and fine sentence.
