Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Pardons 510 Prisoners for Islamic Holiday

King Mohammed VI has granted a pardon to 510 people convicted by various courts in the kingdom on the occasion of Eid Al Mawlid Annabawi.
There are 345 inmates who have benefited from the royal pardon. In detail, 336 inmates have benefited from a remission of the sentence of imprisonment or confinement. In total, 7 people have been pardoned on the remainder of the sentence of imprisonment or confinement, 2 for commutation of the life sentence to a fixed-term sentence.
In total, 165 people at liberty have benefited from the royal pardon. 53 people enjoy the royal pardon on the sentence of imprisonment or its remainder, 93 on the pardon of the fine, 12 on the sentence of imprisonment with maintenance of the fine and 7 on the sentence of imprisonment and fine.
