Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Named Second Highest-Paid African Leader, Earning $488,604 Annually

King Mohammed VI ranks 2nd out of 15 in the 2021 Business Insider Africa ranking for the best-paid heads of state in Africa. He far outpaces Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
With an annual salary of $488,604, King Mohammed VI is the second highest-paid African leader behind Cameroonian President Paul Biya ($620,976). The sovereign far outpaces the Algerian president, Abdelmadjid Tebboune (6th place, $168,000).
