Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Named ’Personality of 2021’ by French Political Figure

Former Socialist MP Julien Dray, one of the founders of SOS Racisme, has designated King Mohammed VI as the personality of the year 2021. The key actions of the sovereign motivate this choice.
"I have chosen a personality who is not talked about and who has achieved extraordinary things, it is the King of Morocco Mohammed VI," declared the former Socialist elected official during a program on the French channel Cnews.
To justify his choice, he highlighted three key actions of the sovereign. "[...] He has managed to hold democratic elections (resulting in the defeat of the Islamists), made peace with Israel against the advice of all the surrounding countries, and Morocco has very well managed the Covid-19 pandemic, in a solidarity manner," said Julien Dray, concluding that this is a king who has played a positive role for his country.
