Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Condemns New Zealand Mosque Attacks, Offers Condolences

King Mohammed VI has sent a message of condolences and compassion to Patsy Reddy, Governor General of New Zealand, in which he strongly condemns the terrorist attacks that targeted two mosques on Friday and caused many innocent victims.
According to MAP: "In a message of condolences and compassion addressed to Ms. Patsy Reddy, Governor General of New Zealand, the Sovereign expresses, in His name and on behalf of the Moroccan people, His firm condemnation of this abject racist and terrorist attack, which targeted worshippers, in flagrant violation of the sanctity of places of worship and universal human values of coexistence, tolerance and brotherhood."
Furthermore, King Mohammed VI is said to have learned the news "with deep sorrow". And he presents "His heartfelt condolences and sincere feelings of compassion" to "Ms. Reddy and through her, to the bereaved families", while wishing the injured "a speedy recovery" and hoping for the families and loved ones of the victims "patience and comfort".
Let us recall that these attacks left 49 dead and about twenty seriously injured and that no Moroccan victim is to be deplored.
