Morocco’s King Breaks Gift-Giving Tradition with Trump, Unlike Other World Leaders

King Mohammed VI did not send any gift to US President Donald Trump, while in 2002 he had offered one to George W. Bush and he had not been stingy with Barack Obama and his family, offering them the most expensive gift worth $101,200. Mahmoud Abbas, on the other hand, sent a gift to Trump. The Gulf countries also did.
The USNEWS site specifies: "It is now a tradition in the United States. The White House Protocol Service has just lifted the veil on the exhaustive list of gifts received by the president during his first year in the White House, as well as his wife and family from certain world leaders, ministers and ordinary American citizens. The amount exceeds $140,000."
In first place, according to the same source, we find Chinese President Xi Jinping with gifts estimated at around $31,000. The King of Saudi Arabia is the second most generous donor and has offered the Trump family a gold pendant, a watch, photographs, clothes and much more. All the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council as well as several dignitaries of these same countries have sent gifts.
However, two facts are to be noted. King Mohammed VI is not among the donors (the list is exhaustive), and Mahmoud Abbas the Palestinian president is (gifts worth a total of $6,770).
According to USNEWS, the Trumps did not keep the gifts as is customary. Destination the National Archives, destination of any foreign gift worth more than $390. The media also recalls certain gifts: "The gifts presented to the White House over the years range from the floral to the eccentric.
