Morocco Kicks Off Africa Cup of Nations Campaign Against Tanzania

Ranked in Group F, Morocco - a semi-finalist in the last World Cup - will cross swords with Tanzania on Wednesday, January 17, for its debut in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) in Côte d’Ivoire.
A much-anticipated match for football fans. The Atlas Lions will face the "Kilimanjaro Stars" on Wednesday at the Laurent Pokou stadium in San Pedro. A real test for the 2022 World Cup semi-finalists who will have to show their supremacy. The match will start at 6:00 PM (Moroccan and European time). The match will be broadcast on the "beIN Sports HD 2 Max - beIN Sports HD 1 Max" channels which hold the exclusive broadcasting rights for the Africa Cup of Nations in the Middle East and North Africa. Football fans also have the possibility to follow the match online via the TOD application or the beIN Connect application or on the Moroccan TNT channel. In Belgium, Morocco’s matches are also broadcast free of charge.
Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, held a press conference on Tuesday at 12:00 PM (Moroccan time) at the Laurent Pokou stadium in San Pedro. On Monday, his players intensified their efforts as part of their preparation for the first CAN match, which will pit them against Tanzania. An opportunity for the technical staff to measure the progress made by the players and to fine-tune the last details before the kick-off of the match.
