Morocco to Keep Controversial Year-Round Daylight Saving Time Despite Protests

The government intends to maintain the GMT +1 schedule throughout the year, despite popular protest, particularly from high school students.
For the delegate minister to the head of government in charge of public employment, responding to an oral question asked during a parliamentary session, the results of a study on the effects of the time change are encouraging and far from worrying.
This study focused on the impact of the time change on health, safety, energy, and education. According to the conclusions of the study, it would be more appropriate to keep a single schedule throughout the year, given the disruptions generated by the four changes made previously.
This permanent maintenance of GMT+1 all year round does have a caveat, as Moroccans will continue to change their clocks once a year and for only one month, during Ramadan.
